Problems encountered completing this task

I have encountered some problems completing this task. Below there is a list of them:

Podomatic:
I created a podcast but I couldn't embedded in this blog, so I had to end up recording the presentation using Blogger. After that, I realised that this could not be seen, so I ended up using Voki (although I also encountered some problems)

Hotpotatoes:
I created a JMix activity but I didn't know how to use it. I think in order to use HotPotatoes you need to have time to watch tutorials and ask people so that you understand how it works. I  read all the help information and wasn't able to get it right.

TaskMagic:
I downloaded the free trial software, but with that I think you can see and use already-made resources, but you can not create your own. I wasn't able to find a way to create my own so I couldn't use it. In addition, I am not sure whether I would have been able to embed the activities in the blog.

Microphone:
I don't have an external microphone to plug it to my computer, I only have the one that is built-in. When I use Skype it works perfectly. However, when I recorded myself the volume was too low and you can hardly hear me. I haven't been able to increase the volume so I guess that when you record podcasts or videocasts, you may need a microphone.

Voki:
I created a Voki podcast following the instructions from Mónica and after completing all the steps I wasn't able to embed the podcast. After trying many times, I have added the link so you can access the podcast. It is not the best way but at least you can listen to it.

  1. Hello Luis!
I'm with you when you say that there are a lot of unexpected problems when using these new programs.
With Podomatic, I realized that when you already have created your post, in the last step, you need to choose the option that says "get an audio player for your web" or something alike. Then, it gives you the full embed code (with the "iframe" and everything.
I have also tried to use Clarity Software, but you need to pay first (surprise!) and Max Author, in which I have spend a lot of time, but haven't got to know how to use it.
    Well, step by step!

  2. Dear Natalia,

Thanks for your comments. That's right, there always are unexpected problems when using technology. I guess we just need to be flexible and adapt to the circumstances whatever they are.
